Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Union Payroll Specialist in the St. Louis, MO area on a hybrid schedule. You will manage payroll data entry, timecard processing, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with bargaining agreements and company controls.

The role requires 2+ years of union payroll experience, proficiency with payroll software (ideally eCMS) and Excel, and strong analytical skills. This contract-to-hire position offers a path to permanent employment and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented payroll professional with 2+ years of union payroll experience.
• Proficient in payroll software and data entry.
• Strict confidentiality and data security practices required.

Responsibilities

• Enter HR and payroll data accurately into the payroll system.
• Analyze and input timecard data into the payroll system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company, employee, and customer data.
• Ensure wages are paid per collective bargaining agreements.
• Process payroll changes including new hires, promotions, terminations, transfers, leaves, garnishments, manual checks, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance and detect discrepancies through controls.
• Respond to management and employee inquiries timely and accurately.
• Track and submit certified reports for prevailing wage compliance.
• Scan and archive payroll documents per policy.
