Qualifications

• Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and hazards relevant to Umbrella & Excess Liability.
• Analyze performance against benchmarks and market needs to price decisions.
• Design, develop and implement robust policy wordings.
• Understand policy administration lifecycle, issuance, and credits.
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders; strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to persuade and motivate others without executive authority.
• Ability to absorb and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Manage multiple accounts and deadlines across territories.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Umbrella & Excess Liability accounts to drive profitability.
• Negotiate participation, pricing and contract terms with brokers/producers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
• Provide technical leadership for Specialized Umbrella & Excess Liability.
• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet targets.
• Communicate pricing and terms with producers.
• Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued.
• Maintain and file documentation for risks and transactions.
• Develop relationships with brokers for new business and renewal retention.
• Handle referrals and re-underwrite complex business as needed.
• Collaborate across regions for cross-functional opportunities.
