Job summary

MSIG USA seeks an Underwriting Assistant to support marine underwriting, handling submissions, data collection, rating, and binder production. You will assist underwriters with account setup, inputs, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires a college degree in insurance, business, or accounting, with 3+ years in underwriting support or related fields, and familiarity with rating models.

Qualifications

• College degree with emphasis on insurance, business or accounting preferred.
• 3+ years insurance or reinsurance experience with emphasis on analytic functions in underwriting support, underwriting, and/or accounting.
• Working knowledge of rating and pricing models, insurance and reinsurance for all lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Collect and reconcile new and renewal submission data for underwriter review.
• Review and analyze account information for underwriting data and input into systems.
• With minimal supervision, produce quotes and binders for new and renewal accounts.
• Provide reports and analysis to underwriters to support decision-making.
