Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a group insurance environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of medical insurance concepts, rating methodologies, and risk evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review rating analyses and underwriting recommendations.
• Evaluate customer risk using appropriate underwriting methodologies.
• Analyze supporting documentation to make underwriting decisions within authority.
• Partner with Sales and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and risk requirements.
• Underwrite medical, pharmacy, and ancillary products as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of Health Care Reform and marketplace dynamics.
• Support departmental objectives through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
