Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the USPS Office of Inspector General. The designer will craft modern, intuitive interfaces for web tools, creating wireframes and UI specifications to guide development. This hybrid role requires one day onsite weekly at our Arlington, VA location.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, translate complex requirements into simple visual workflows, and ensure designs align with U.S. design standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelor in related field; or 0 years with Masters; or HS diploma with 6 years relevant experience.
• Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (or similar), HTML/CSS/Bootstrap, and responsive design.
• Solid portfolio of user-centered design across interfaces and screen sizes.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive interfaces and user flows for USPS OIG web applications.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and UI specifications for modern designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and feedback.
• Translate complex requirements into simple visual workflows.
• Modernize site graphics and interaction elements while following U.S. design standards.
• Improve navigation and usability with minimal coding; participate in testing.
