Job summary

BMW in Mountain View offers a Spring 2027 Full-Time Internship combining product design, interaction design, and software/hardware prototyping for automotive UX. You will collaborate with designers and engineers on interactive prototypes, integrate sensor data, and explore AI-driven ideation tools.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program with at least 60 credits completed, a 3.0 GPA, and US work authorization. The role is hybrid with in-office days in Mountain View, CA.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
• US Work Authorization required.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall).
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours at application time.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.

Responsibilities

• Combine creative thinking with software and hardware development knowledge.
• Develop user-interactive concepts and experiences.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to create interactive prototypes.
• Contribute own ideas to enhance user experiences and prototype solutions.
• Research emerging technologies & find new applications for automotive.
• Experience Strategy, User Experience Design, and User Journey Development.
• Integrate sensor data into interactive user experiences.
