Job summary

BMW is seeking a Spring 2027 Full-Time Internship in Mountain View, CA, running January 11, 2027 to May 14, 2027. You will analyze market trends in In-Car Entertainment, assist AI-powered feature development for Infotainment, and contribute to internal AI tooling and simulations.

You will collaborate with software engineers, UX designers, and product managers, transferring prototypes into Android Automotive apps and gaining hands-on experience applying AI/ML in automotive contexts.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
US Work Authorization required.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.

Responsibilities

Analyze the Market Trends and innovations in In-Car Entertainment & IVI Systems.
Assist in the development and integration of AI-powered features for Infotainment.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal AI tooling and simulation environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, UX designers, and product managers.
Transfer the best prototype into an android automotive app, which runs on a test rack and a development car.
Gain hands-on experience in the application of AI and machine learning in a real-world automotive context.
Develop skills in rapid prototyping, software development, and the creation of intelligent devices.
Design, Implemented, deploy and test new coding features.
