Job summary

Generali Global Assistance | Travel Insurance is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to lead reserving, forecasting, and portfolio analyses. You will synthesize actuarial, financial, and data modeling expertise to address questions from Underwriting, Finance, Sales and senior management.

The role demands knowledge of IFRS17, Solvency II, and strong SQL/R/Excel skills. Hybrid work from San Diego, with collaboration across North America and exposure to Holding Company leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, economics or finance required.
• Completion of actuarial exams and reserving knowledge required.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; experience with IFRS17 and Solvency II preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quarterly and annual reserving for IFRS17 and Solvency II.
• Provide reserves range, best estimates, and explain changes.
• Compare assumptions and assess impact on results.
• Track booked value versus best estimate.
• Support IT projects related to losses and UBEL topics.
• Assist with validation, version control, and consistency of assumptions.
