Job summary

Amtengineering is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary transportation design projects from Towson or Rockville, Maryland, with a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days remote per week) as agreed with the Transportation Group Leader.

You will lead multi-modal roadway projects, coordinate with clients and agencies, manage resources and budgets, and mentor junior staff. Strong negotiation, communication, and design skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• PE licensure required in MD, VA, or DC.
• 8–12 years of roadway/highway/traffic control plan experience with PM experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects (multi-modal roadway focus).
• Serve as liaison between client and project team and external stakeholders.
• Manage technical resources, subconsultants, and budgets.
• Develop PM plans, schedules, progress reports, and proposals.
• Provide QA reviews of submittals and deliverables; mentor junior staff.
• Assist with production tasks (CAD drawings, reports, graphics).
• Support business development and proposals with Group Leader/Division Directors.
