Amtengineering is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary transportation design projects from Towson or Rockville, Maryland, with a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days remote per week) as agreed with the Transportation Group Leader.

You will lead multi-modal roadway projects, coordinate with clients and agencies, manage resources and budgets, and mentor junior staff. Strong negotiation, communication, and design skills are essential for success.

Qualifikationen

• PE licensure required in MD, VA, or DC.
• 8–12 years of roadway/highway/traffic control plan experience with PM experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Transportation Project Manager

Location: Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland. The position is full-time with flexibility for hybrid work: 2-3 days per week from home as agreed with Transportation Group Leader.

Responsibilities

• Strong time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects.
• Identify and resolve project risks and design challenges.
• Build and motivate teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, focusing on multi-modal roadway projects.
• Serve as liaison between client and project team including external stakeholder agencies.
• Manage all technical resources on the project team including subconsultants.
• Prepare task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets.
• Develop project management plans, prepare monthly progress reports.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Provide quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Assist with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics/renderings, etc.).
• Assist Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC required.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
