Job summary

Actalent in Chicago, IL is seeking a Transportation Engineer to plan, design, and oversee transportation and infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water systems, using MicroStation and Geopak.

You will collaborate with state DOTs, toll authorities, and municipalities, review drawings, and provide site oversight while mentoring junior engineers toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and develop engineering activities for transportation/infrastructure projects.
• Perform design engineering for transportation projects with DOTs, toll authorities, and municipalities.
• Prepare detailed designs using MicroStation and Geopak.
• Develop innovative solutions to engineering problems.
• Prepare drawings, specs, calculations, and charts to support design.
• Monitor compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide site oversight and review construction progress.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Communicate project requirements and progress to clients.
• Support growth and mentorship toward PE licensure.
