Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) seeks a Transit and Rail Engineer for a hybrid role based in Philadelphia or Lansdale, PA. You will contribute to rail and bus projects, including stations, bridges, and right-of-way infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in transit/rail design, PE license, and experience with AREMA/APTA; Revit/AutoCAD/MicroStation experience is preferred. Hybrid schedule and strong client collaboration are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred may substitute for experience.
• 5+ years of professional transit/rail engineering design experience.
• PE license required or in process; familiarity with AREMA/APTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform design on rail projects including stations and maintenance facilities.
• Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Support construction phase services and quality controls.
