Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Project Manager in Boston, MA for a 6-month hybrid engagement to lead a high-visibility transformation within Markets Technology. The role pays 80-85/hr and requires coordinating cross-functional teams and governance to deliver outcomes.

You will develop program plans, manage RAID, milestones, and executive reporting while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to drive delivery and accountability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial program management experience.
• Experience managing large-scale programs.
• Senior-level program management and business analysis experience.
• Financial services / banking experience.
• Strong governance, requirements, and project planning skills.
• Experience managing RAID, dependencies, risks, milestones, and action items.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working across large, matrixed organizations.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team management.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and drive accountability.
• Experience with transformation, technology delivery, and business process change.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of a high-visibility transformation program within Markets Technology.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across a large financial institution.
• Establish program scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Create integrated program plan, RAID, dependency map, and executive status reporting.
• Manage governance, steering forums, decision rights, and issue escalation.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders on current-state and future-state requirements.
• Lead requirements workshops and translate discussions into clear actions.
• Coordinate application, infrastructure, security, data, operations, risk, and vendor teams.
• Identify risks and dependencies; develop mitigation and escalation options.
• Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, and status communications.
• Oversee program finances, forecasts, and change control.
• Coordinate user readiness, training, testing, controls, and transition to operations.
• Apply data tools and automation to improve transparency and delivery speed.
