Job summary

Tios Capital, based in Alexandria, Virginia, seeks a Trading Analyst to execute daily ICE power contracts and drive quantitative modeling projects. You will synthesize large data sets to support rapid, data-driven decisions and collaborate with trading and software teams.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence on some days with flexible remote work options. Normal hours are 9 AM–6 PM ET, with a focus on developing and refining trading strategies and analytics.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.
• Fluent in R and SQL for data analysis.
• Experience with statistical modeling methods.
• Familiar with data visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary trader on the ICE terminal, buying and selling power contracts in accordance with approved risk limits and strategic frameworks.
• Monitor market trends and power grid fundamentals to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain custom SQL queries for robust data analysis.
• Design and implement quantitative modeling frameworks to enhance decision-making.
• Collaborate with other members of the exchange trading team to investigate possible improvements to existing strategies, optimize trading processes, and explore and develop new strategies.
• Collaborate with our software engineering team to create production-grade systems to support our trading efforts.
• Maintain clear, effective verbal and written communication across teams.
