Job summary

Town of Gilbert seeks a Tourism Project Manager I to support outreach to local businesses, coordinate training programs, and promote tourism growth. The role reports to the Tourism Program Manager and works with merchants and event operators to monitor events and partnerships.

This limited-term, hybrid position is approved through 6/30/2027 with potential renewal; a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related experience are required, along with an Arizona Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
• 2 years of relevant experience in the related field
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Responsibilities

• Support outreach to businesses and related training programs
• Monitor tourism business growth, promotions, events, and related needs of merchants and event operators
• Develop and maintain relationships with youth and amateur sports tournament operators, meeting planners, and industry peers
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on tourism development and marketing projects
• Assist in the maintenance of discovergilbert.com, social media accounts, online resources, printed fulfillment pieces, and business listings

Education

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field

2 years of relevant experience in the related field

Any equivalent combination of experience and training
