Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Manager, Thermal Electrical Engineering to lead a team responsible for electrical engineering, procurement support, and construction/commissioning for large-scale Thermal generation projects (natural gas turbines, combined cycle plants, and related facilities).

The role focuses on managing internal engineers and coordinating with external engineering firms to deliver detailed design packages and ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related degree.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing and developing engineers (direct reports and/or leading multi-disciplinary teams).
• HV/MV electrical infrastructure knowledge (substations/switchyards, distribution, transmission).
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers for thermal projects.
• Oversee design, procurement support, and construction/commissioning activities.
• Ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met for electrical deliverables.
• Coordinate with operations engineering, OEMs, EPC contractors, and utilities.
• Track design schedules and milestones; manage interfaces and information flow.
