Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Technology Systems Designer with audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience to support technical spaces across critical facilities and corporate interiors.

You will work with senior engineers, use CAD/BIM, develop layouts, and coordinate with other trades. The role offers a hybrid schedule with in-office Monday-Thursday and remote Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Science or Technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience across multiple markets.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of active network systems and structured cabling design.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi design concepts and telephony design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred; professional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide trade-specific system design layouts using CAD/BIM.
• Perform calculations and coordinate with other trades.
• Develop system narratives and layouts for diverse projects.
• Support QA/QC processes and assist with project scheduling and budgeting.
• Assist with RFIs, Change Orders, and addenda.
• Represent Syska Hennessy Group in client interactions.
