Job summary

EDP Renewables North America is seeking a Tax Provision Senior Associate to support US, Canadian, and Mexican income tax provisions and related filings from our Houston office. You will research federal and state tax matters, ensuring accurate reporting and tax efficiency across portfolios.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Accounting, portfolio management, and M&A teams, with a hybrid work setup in Houston, TX. A CPA is preferred, and 5+ years of experience in tax is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years in public or industry tax experience including 2+ years in preparing or reviewing tax provisions.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state corporate and partnership taxation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
• Prepare quarterly tax provision’s effective tax rate computations.
• Interact with Accounting and other depts to gather necessary information.
• Prepare projected income tax estimates under various assumptions.
• Prepare Canadian corporate and partnership income tax returns and withholding tax returns.
• Provide due diligence support to M&A and portfolio management including review of cost segregation studies.
• Research Canadian corporate and partnership tax issues and optimize tax obligations.
• Support Canadian tax audits with documentation and ITC claims.
• Additional duties as required.
