Job summary

eZone staffing LLC in Latham, NY is seeking a Tax Manager to join our office and lead client engagements with a collaborative team approach. The role includes coaching staff, overseeing tax planning, and delivering high-quality service to clients.

You will be the client contact for basic questions, review work papers and tax returns, and participate in engagement profitability and budget monitoring. A CPA is preferred but not required, with hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in accounting or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, in-charge and seniors, provides feedback and guidance.
• Provides staff with industry-specific information to improve client service.
• Identifies problems and opportunities and develops solutions with management.
• Develops new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
• Acts as a model for effective verbal and written communication.
• Monitors engagement profitability and budgets to ensure timely, profitable completion.
• Delivers quality tax planning addressing clients’ full business needs.
• Performs reviews of work papers, tax returns, and related documents.
• Handles federal/state regulatory matters and responds to notices.
