Job summary

Insero & Co. CPAs, LLP in Ithaca, NY seeks dynamic Tax professionals at Manager/Senior Manager level to support complex tax returns and planning for individuals, small businesses, and partnerships.

Hybrid work option (in-office, up to 3 days from home) and growth opportunities are emphasized. Candidates should have 4+ years of public accounting tax experience, CPA/EA preferred, and strong supervisory capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' public accounting tax experience across entity types.
• Experience with complex 1040s, high net worth individuals, and small businesses (S Corps/Partnerships).
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience for management level.
• CPA license highly recommended/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review complex personal and business returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Engage in tax planning and develop strategies to reduce liabilities.
• Mentor and develop other tax professionals.
• Lead client engagements and serve as a frontline advisor.
• Monitor deadlines and coordinate with staff through the review process.
• Respond to IRS/state notices and participate in audits.
