Job summary

CohnReznick in Connecticut seeks a Tax Manager to join our Commercial Services Industry Group. The role focuses on managing tax compliance and advisory engagements, with a team-oriented, client-service mindset and opportunities for leadership in a hybrid work setup.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), CPA/JD/EA, at least 6 years of tax experience, and 2+ years in management, with strong MS Office and tax software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred.
• CPA, JD or EA required.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant tax experience.
• 2+ years of managerial experience.
• Current experience with commercial services clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and tax advisory engagements in the Commercial Services Industry group.
• Determine resource requirements and work with a team to ensure excellent client service.
• Manage expectations with team members and monitor engagement progress.
• Review partnership and corporate tax returns for accuracy.
• Research tax issues and filing requirements affecting tax compliance.
• Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code and related guidance.
• Draft tax memorandums and share knowledge to develop team members.
• Identify opportunities to expand scope of current engagements.
• Lead proposals and respond to RFPs under management direction.
• Demonstrate initiative and independent thinking; lead by example.
