Job summary

Boyum Barenscheer is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and strategic planning for a diverse client portfolio, including high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. The role combines leadership with client-facing advisory.

This hybrid position requires CPA in good standing, 5+ years public accounting experience, mastery of US tax code, and proficiency with CCH Axcess, UltraTax and Excel.

Qualifications

• Active CPA in good standing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; master's preferred.
• 5+ years public accounting tax experience across individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance and review for complex federal/state returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041).
• Deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services for HNWIs, trusts, partnerships, and corporations.
• Oversee partner/shareholder basis tracking and tax allocations.
• Mentor and develop tax professionals; review workpapers and provide training.
• Serve as primary client contact for tax notices, audits, and disputes.
