Job summary

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting a System Administrator to support our contract at PEOSTRI in Orlando, FL. The role is hybrid remote/in-office, focusing on configuring, deploying, and maintaining RHEL servers and virtualization within a DoD environment.

You will install and manage RHEL servers, manage VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, monitor performance, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to cybersecurity standards and DISA STIGs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) a plus.
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) knowledge.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
• Scripting skills (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python) preferred.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and federal security compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers and applications.
• Manage and maintain the virtual environment within VMware and Hyper-V.
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability of IT infrastructure.
• Perform routine system maintenance, patches, updates, and backups.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and AD access controls.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.
• Maintain Cyber Security standards within RHEL and virtualization.
• Assist with planning upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
• Collaborate with IT team and vendors to resolve complex issues.
