Job summary

Dexian Government Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to configure, deploy, and maintain RHEL servers and virtualization within a DoD setting. This hybrid role involves security compliance, end-user support, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

You will work with VMware, cloud platforms, and Active Directory while aligning with DISA STIGs and federal standards. Strong problem-solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and DISA STIGs.
• Scripting proficiency (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with federal security compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers and apps.
• Manage and maintain the VMware virtualization environment.
• Monitor performance and ensure availability of IT infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance, patches, updates, and backups.
• Manage AD accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide end-user support.
• Document system configurations and procedures.
• Maintain cybersecurity standards within RHEL and virtualization.
• Assist with upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
• Collaborate with IT team and vendors on complex issues.
