Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking highly motivated students to join the Supply Chain internship program. The role provides hands-on experience across procurement, sourcing, purchasing, contract administration, analytics and governance to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective service to customers.

Assignments vary by business need and location, with exposure to SAP-based tools, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. May start May 24, 2027, with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Interest in procurement, sourcing, logistics within energy/utility sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing, sourcing, contract and supplier activities to support daily operations.
• Gather, organize, and review supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Create reports, dashboards and status updates for team members and leaders.
• Support inventory, logistics, warehouse, and planning activities to improve safety, service and reliability.
• Maintain records and system information to support data quality and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with team members and suppliers to support project work.
