American Family Insurance invites you to join our Summer 2027 Intern - Application Development program in a Hybrid setting (Boston, MA or Madison, WI). As a Software Engineering intern, you will contribute to QA automation across backend, sales, API and UI, and gain exposure to multiple areas of the business.

The role requires enrollment in a CS-related degree with graduation flexibility and experience or interest in automation and modern testing tools such as Playwright and REST Assured.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university during the internship.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Interest or experience in automation and software testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of our business, culture and structure to support your work.
• Contribute ideas and strategic approaches to changing situations.
• Code for digital payments and work on APIs.
