Job summary

GreatAmerica invites three enthusiastic students to join our Quality Engineering team as Summer 2027 Software Quality Engineer Interns. You will gain hands‑on experience in QA, testing, automation, API validation, and Agile practices while contributing to real‑world projects.

You will work with Quality Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Owners, and Technology leaders, and complete a focused capstone project in Test Automation, API Integration Quality, or Quality Analytics.

Qualifications

Coursework or projects in software development or testing.
Familiarity with programming or scripting languages.
SQL and relational databases knowledge.
Exposure to CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

Review user stories and acceptance criteria to identify test conditions.
Design, document, and execute functional and integration tests.
Identify and communicate defects; participate in defect triage.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and contribute to regression automation.
Create and execute API validation scenarios and verify data accuracy across integrated systems.
Execute automated tests in CI/CD workflows; analyze results and investigate failures.
Collaborate with cross‑functional team members and communicate progress, risks, findings, and recommendations.
