Job summary

WTW's Summer Internship Program serves as the primary pipeline into our full-time Graduate Development Program (GDP) and targets students who are about one year away from completing their bachelor’s degree. The 8-week internship offers hands-on experience with Fortune 500 clients and colleagues in the insurance industry, including mentorship, structured training, and client-facing projects.

Interns will rotate through areas with a focus on learning core insurance concepts and brokerage

Qualifications

Enrolled in bachelor’s degree with May 2027 target graduation.
Senior year in Fall 2027.
Minimum GPA 3.0+.
Preferred majors: Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Liberal Arts, Geology (BS), Environmental Geology (BS), Sociology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excel skills: intermediate to advanced.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship.
WTW’s hybrid working environment allows mixed remote and in-office time; interns typically go into the office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks to support the placement of client risks into the market.
Create Loss Summaries, review program binders for accuracy, check policies, and aide's brokers & senior brokers
Assist on any deliverables for Client Renewal Strategy Meeting & RFPs
Research market solutions to learn how to identify and develop optimum risk solutions for clients.
Initial introductions to carrier / trading partners
Begin understanding of core insurance principles and brokerage concepts
Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to.
Record and maintain all information accurately on the appropriate systems, including initial introduction to and utilization of Broking Platform.
Demonstration of strong time and task management skills
Ability to take direction, receive constructive feedback and deliver accurate work product
Relationship management and customer focus; ability to interface with customers and collaborate internally with teammates to serve customers
