Job summary

WTW is offering a Summer Internship Program in the United States with an eight-week hands-on experience in the insurance industry. Interns work with Fortune 500 clients and gain exposure to risk assessment, analytics, and client-facing projects.

The program channels participants into the GDP and emphasizes mentorship, structured training, case studies, and cross-team collaboration. It requires current enrollment in a bachelor’s program and a May 2027 graduation target.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a target graduation date of May 2027.
• Eligible candidates must be going into their senior year in Fall 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and above.
• Preferred Majors: Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Liberal Arts, Geology (BS), Environmental Geology (BS), Sociology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills, analytically driven and detail oriented
• Aptitude to learn and be proactive
• Proficient in time management
• Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks to support the placement of client risks into the market.
• Create Loss Summaries, review program binders for accuracy, check policies, and aide's brokers & senior brokers
• Assist on any deliverables for Client Renewal Strategy Meeting & RFPs
• Research market solutions to learn how to identify and develop optimum risk solutions for clients.
• Initial introductions to carrier / trading partners
• Begin understanding of core insurance principles and brokerage concepts
• Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to.
• Record and maintain all information accurately on the appropriate systems, including initial introduction to and utilization of Broking Platform.
• Demonstration of strong time and task management skills
• Ability to take direction, receive constructive feedback and deliver accurate work product
• Relationship management and customer focus; ability to interface with customers and collaborate internally with teammates to serve customers
