Job summary

Harvard University Health Services CAMHS Access Team seeks a Clinical Access Clinician to be the first contact for students seeking mental health support. You will conduct initial evaluations, triage, and guide next steps to connect students with appropriate services.

This 40-hour-per-week role runs for 10 months, with a reduced 20-hour schedule in June-July; requires a Master’s degree, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and licensure as LICSW or LMHC.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.
• Fluency in a foreign language (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Spanish) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for students with mental health and well-being concerns.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, screen for safety, review resources, and guide next steps.
• Ensure timely entry of consultation data into the Access database and document encounters in EHR.
• Collaborate with CAMHS and leadership to support triage and referrals.
• Provide interim counseling and connect students to off-campus resources when needed.
• Maintain a clinical caseload of students in short-term therapy and support urgent care connections.
