Job summary

DLA Piper seeks an associate to join its finance group, structured finance subgroup, with openings in Boston, Los Angeles, and New York. You will conduct research, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and coordinate closings across domestic and cross-border matters.

The role emphasizes client service, collaboration across offices, and rigorous due diligence supporting complex financings from inception through closing and post-closing activities.

Qualifications

• JD required; admission to practice in the state of office.
• 3–6 years of structured finance, securitization and/or asset-based lending experience.
• AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts and transaction documents.
• Coordinate deal closings and post-closing obligations across domestic and cross-border matters.
• Advise on regulatory, governance and compliance considerations affecting transactions.
• Support deal teams and manage timelines, workstreams, and client communications.
