Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a mid-level associate to join its finance group, structured finance subgroup. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of structured finance, securitization and CLO experience, and will be eligible to admit to the bar in the jurisdiction where applying.

The role is open to our New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago or Washington, DC offices. The candidate will engage in complex domestic and cross-border transactions, conduct research, draft documents, and

• Legal research and analysis to support client matters
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts and transaction documents
• Coordinate and manage transaction closings and post-closing obligations
• Collaborate with lawyers across offices to support client objectives
• Exercise sound professional judgment and identify risks
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

• Legal research and analysis to support client matters, legal strategy, and decision-making
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts, disclosure schedules, and ancillary agreements
• Coordinate and manage transaction closings, including signing, funds flow and post-closing obligations
• Support deal execution and communication among lenders, investors, regulators, and clients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions for transactions
