Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Design Technician to support our Advanced Manufacturing Data Centers team across the United States. You’ll develop and update structural drawings and models, coordinate systems, and help produce construction documents using 2D drafting and BIM tools like Revit.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years drafting in structural field, Revit and AutoCAD experience, and the ability to lead a project team. The role offers hybrid work and competitive benefits as described.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
• At least 1 year of Revit
• At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience
• At least 2 years of Revit experience
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures
• Experience leading a team of Designers
• Experience with Data Centers - Hyperscale
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Support Advanced Manufacturing Data Centers team with structural design tasks
• Develop and update structural drawings and models
• Coordinate building systems and existing conditions
• Help produce construction documents
• Use 2D drafting and BIM tools (Revit) for coordination and quality reviews
• Organize design work for small projects or work packages
• Follow project standards and procedures
• Share technical knowledge with teammates
