Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
• PE registration in California.
• 5-10 years' experience with concrete, steel, and timber design.
• Local California coding experience.
• Ability to work independently with engineering oversight.
• Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on commercial & institutional buildings.
• Collaborate with architect, owner, and contractor for coordinated drawings.
• Contribute to project teams of engineers, designers and drafters.
• Meet with project team to ensure effective communication during design.
• Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results.
• Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support department growth.
