Job summary

CRB in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Structural Engineer III to deliver design solutions for intermediate projects. You will lead small scopes, collaborate with senior engineers and cross-disciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design firm or similar setting.
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., RISA, Enercalc, Tedds).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiarity with structural material codes and applicable building standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design scope and budget on small to mid-sized projects.
• Develop construction drawing packages and specifications with minimal oversight.
• Conduct field surveys, site walks, and construction field reporting.
• Identify and document non-compliant existing conditions during site visits.
• Interface with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Support proposal development and contribute to internal training presentations.
• Lead squad checks and discipline reviews to ensure design quality.
• Mentor Engineer I and Designer I/II team members.
• Assist in system design programming and master planning with senior support.
