Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Structural Engineer for a hybrid role in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will design transportation structures, develop calculations, and perform analyses, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver public and private projects.

The position requires 2–6 years of experience, a BSCE (MSCE preferred), and in some cases EIT certification, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET-accredited engineering program; MSCE preferred.
• 2–6 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• E.I.T. certification or ability to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans for transportation structures including bridges/culverts.
• Utilize CAD and engineering software to create detailed design plans and drawings.
• Prepare structural design calculations per standards and client preferences.
• Perform structural analysis on new and existing transportation structures.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and project specifications.
