Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join its team in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, with a focus on designing and inspecting bridge structures. Ideal candidates will have a PE license in Pennsylvania and at least 6 years of related experience. Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of bridge design, load rating and inspection experience.
• Experience working with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, PTC or municipalities.
• Certification as a Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead engineer on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with the growth of the structural staff.
• Prepare and review structural calculations for bridge design projects.
• Manage compilation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Plan and perform bridge inspections to PennDOT/PTC standards.
