Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company in the Kansas/Missouri Division seeks a Structural Bridge Project Manager to lead design and management of bridge projects, supervise teams, and mentor staff.

The role requires a KS/MO Professional Engineer license, 7+ years of bridge design/PM experience, and strong client relations. Travel may be required; hybrid work with onsite office presence is available across the region.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Engineer in Kansas and/or Missouri.
• 7+ years of bridge design experience including project management responsibility.
• Experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects.
• Seller/Doer mentality with client interaction experience.
• Track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules.
• Excellent communication and client relation skills.
• Strong understanding of steel/concrete design software.
• Experience with bridge inspection; NHI training a plus.
• Time management to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects.
• Create and execute project work plans including scope, schedule and budget.
• Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives.
• Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and/or MoDOT.
• Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events.
• Identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits.
• Coordinate, monitor, and review work by sub-consultants.
• Promote team environment and address conflicts.
• Networking and leadership in professional organizations.
