Job summary

SpartanNash invites motivated students to join the Strategic Sourcing internship for Summer 2027 in Byron Center, Michigan. You will gain hands-on experience in wholesale grocery procurement, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to real projects in contract management and spend analysis.

You will develop skills in RFx events, market research, and data-driven decision making, supported by a mentor, with a paid 12-week program from May to August in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an accredited Bachelor's degree with sophomore year completed by start date.
• Major in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operations and admin tasks in Strategic Sourcing.
• Support contract lifecycle management and documentation.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with RFx events (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and supplier outreach.
• Develop templates and standardize processes to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to market research on customers and suppliers.
• Prepare presentations and reports; participate in team meetings.
