Job summary

SpartanNash is offering a 12-week paid internship targeting students in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related fields at Byron Center, MI. Interns gain hands-on experience, work on meaningful projects, and receive mentoring while developing professional network and skills.

You will support daily operations, prepare presentations, analyze data, and collaborate across departments to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Current Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing at time of internship.
• Majoring in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics or similar fields.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite; strongly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing; able to work independently or in a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Curious with initiative and willingness to learn and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
• Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights.
• Aid in enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies.
• Develop professional relationships across departments; complete special projects as assigned.
• Present learning objectives at the end of the internship with a final presentation.
• Perform data cleanup, validation, slotting analysis, and operations analytics for a slotting improvement project.
• Work with Slotting Managers, Warehouse and Corporate Leadership.
