Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Senior Planner to develop monthly financial plans and forecasts, align with the department strategy, and maximize sales and profit by turning inventory within the open-to-buy.

You will work cross-functionally with merchants, buyers and allocation partners to ensure the right products are available across channels at the right time, while monitoring sales and profitability for the assigned department.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in planning or forecasting.
• Understanding of sales, margin and inventory metrics.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced Excel and planning software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Forecast financials and department demand plans and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Buyers to develop monthly forecasts.
• Identify opportunities using market trends 1–6 months out.
• Lead cross-functional projects with scope and timeline.
• Manage inventory flow and end-of-life activity.
• Support inventory productivity and markdown decisions.
