Job summary

The National Western Center Authority (NWCA) seeks a strategic finance analyst to drive reporting and pricing strategy. You will partner with the CFO in managing financial success and growth for the National Western Center in Denver.

A strong background in cross‑functional reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is essential. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in professional finance, with expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and financial data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's or CPA a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in a professional finance role.
• Knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis.
• Sound judgment with integrity, accountability, and emotional intelligence in support of the mission.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain corporate financial models to support budgeting, planning, valuations, and strategic analysis.
• Support FP&A processes including forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.
• Prepare high-quality Board and management presentations that communicate financial and operational performance insights.
• Partner with senior leadership and functional teams to evaluate corporate strategy initiatives.
• Manage and maintain market research and macroeconomic data relevant to performance and growth strategy.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and provide ongoing support for executive decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and identify financial trends.
• Assist with evaluating software and systems used for financial operations and strategy.
• Prepare regular budget-to-actual variance reports for department leads (events, facilities, etc.).
• Help establish fee schedules and rate cards (e.g., CAM, equipment fees) per Framework Agreement.
