Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking a Community Health Project Coordinator for Family Medicine to support REACH KS Thrive training and outreach across Kansas counties. The role emphasizes planning, coordination, and delivery of CHW trainings with strong collaboration among KUMC faculty, CHWs, and community partners.

You will co-lead training development, coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual sessions, and provide ongoing coaching to CHWs.

Qualifications

• Required: Certifications: ECHOS Database and Supervisory trainings (or within 3 months).
• Train the Trainer Certification (or after hire).
• 3 years of experience as a certified community health worker.
• Languages: English and Spanish bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with CHWs, CHW Supervisors, organizations employing CHWs, training providers, and partners across Kansas.
• Collaborate with CHW Project Leadership, KUMC faculty and staff to set statewide training priorities, goals, schedules, and plans.
• Co-lead development and updating of CHW training curricula and materials, including presentations and resources.
• Plan, facilitate, and deliver in-person and virtual trainings statewide, including Medical Interpreter and continuing education.
• Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, locations, platforms, materials, instructors, and communications.
• Coordinate and facilitate monthly virtual learning collaboratives for CHWs and CHW Supervisors across Kansas.
• Serve as primary point of contact for CHW training inquiries and communicate opportunities and updates.
