Job summary

The State of Maryland - MSDE - Office of the State Superintendent is seeking a qualified professional to provide leadership and technical expertise for statewide assessments from pre-K through high school. The role oversees online testing implementation, coordinates MSDE staff, vendor staff, and LEAs to support testing readiness.

Responsibilities include communicating updates to LEA24 executives, guiding IT and assessment teams, developing best-practices, monitoring issues, coordinating testing

Qualifications

• Master's degree or 36 credit hours from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of professional experience coordinating, planning, implementing, or administering large-scale assessments at school/district/state level.
• Notes on substitutions allowed by MSDE rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise for statewide assessments (pre-K through HS).
• Coordinate MSDE staff, contractor staff, and LEA staff responsible for online testing.
• Prepare and disseminate protocols and best practices for statewide assessments.
• Guide plans to support statewide assessments at LEA24 schools.
• Monitor issues, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate assessment readiness activities across LEA and schools.
• Support testing systems via vendor/testing readiness reviews and site visits.
