Job summary

The Maryland State Department of Education seeks a qualified professional to lead statewide assessment support for prekindergarten through high school, coordinating with LEAs and vendors to ensure smooth online testing implementation.

This role requires a Master’s degree and five years of relevant experience, with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Hybrid work schedule available (up to 3 telework days weekly).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 36 credit hours post-baccalaureate required.
• Five years of professional experience in large-scale assessments.
• Experience coordinating with LEAs and managing testing logistics.

Responsibilities

• Communicate updates and requirements to LEA24 executives and education directors.
• Provide guidance to MSDE staff and LEA personnel on statewide assessment implementation.
• Develop protocols and best practices for statewide assessments.
• Support LEA24 schools in planning for statewide assessments.
• Monitor issues from vendor help desks and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate assessment readiness activities across LEA.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and vendor system reviews.
