Job summary

Vestwell is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive product feature development and architecture across the stack. You’ll act as architect, tech lead, code reviewer, Agile coach, and mentor, shaping tech decisions while delivering value.

This role is based in New York City, Austin, King of Prussia, or Scottsdale with a hybrid in-office setup. The position offers a base salary of $185K–$200K with eligibility for a company bonus pool and new-hire equity; salary bands reflect NY and similar

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Proficiency with Typescript and Node.js
• Experience with Python
• Experience leading 3+ person teams
• Strong Agile and code review skills

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain software supporting Product initiatives with Typescript
• Establish and enforce code best practices
• Collaborate with Executive, Product and Ops teams
• Translate requirements into executable development plans
• Provide production support and mentor junior engineers
• Drive architecture and design across product verticals
• Manage delivery of high-impact development solutions
