Job summary

Maher Duessel seeks Experienced Staff Auditors to perform detailed financial statement audits under supervision, with potential to direct small audits. The role offers a hybrid schedule and minimal out-of-town travel while delivering quality client service.

Qualifications include an accounting degree with CPA eligibility and at least 1 year of public accounting experience. Proficiency with Caseware, RIA Checkpoint, CCH, and Practice Engine is preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and CPA eligibility.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred.
• Proficiency using Caseware, RIA Checkpoint, CCH, and Practice Engine.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

• Display a strong work ethic and interact with clients and firm staff.
• Stay informed of developments in government and non-profit audits.
• Communicate audit status and issues to team leader.
• Identify risks and bring to attention of senior staff.
• Contribute ideas and listen to team members' views.
• Work independently without daily supervision.
• Accept assignments across audit areas and complete timely.
• Review past procedures and enhance audit techniques.
• Understand and prepare basic financial statements.
• Recognize need for overtime to complete tasks and support the engagement.
• Progress toward passing the CPA exam.
