Job summary

Transamerica, a leading financial services company based in the United States, seeks an experienced actuarial professional to initiate and direct actuarial research, experience studies, and analyses. The role focuses on pricing, reserving, and risk management across multiple product lines.

You will coordinate complex analyses, develop financial projections, and communicate findings to management while maintaining documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• ASA or equivalent professional designation.
• Strong judgment, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication of complex mathematical concepts.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop actuarial assumptions for pricing, reserving, and modeling.
• Coordinate analyses to support pricing strategies and risk management.
• Maintain profit studies, non-forfeiture values and GAAP/IFRS actuarial items.
• Prepare actuarial portions of financial reports and regulatory filings.
• Present research results to business unit management.
• Document computer-based programs and model validation processes.
• Supervise Actuarial Analysts or Technicians as needed.
