Job summary

GIBBON, a world leader in slackline products, seeks a Staff Accountant to join a lean accounting team, owning full-cycle accounts payable and reconciliations across multiple entities. You'll support month-end close and journal entries, reporting to the Controller.

Based in Solana Beach, California, this hybrid role offers a $75,000–$80,000 base, plus a bonus up to 10% and a comprehensive benefits package including medical and 401K.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with focus on AP and reconciliations.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and general ledger experience.
• Experience across multiple entities or subsidiaries preferred.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with RAMP or similar AP automation is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with data exports.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities: invoice intake and coding, vendor setup and maintenance, approval routing, payment processing, and vendor inquiries.
• Manage sales and marketing spend, ensuring proper entity and department coding.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations across all entity accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations (credit cards, intercompany accounts, accruals, prepaids).
• Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end close with supporting documentation.
• Setup customer records and manage receivables for growing wholesale business.
• Assist Controller with month-end close tasks, variance analysis, and ad hoc projects.
