CFS in Temple Terrace/Tampa, FL is hiring a Staff Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role. You’ll support month-end close, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist payroll accounting while helping to improve processes and financial reporting.

The position is ideal for someone with at least one year in general ledger work, strong Excel skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. You’ll report to accounting leadership including Controller and CFO.

Formación

• Entry-level career background with at least one year of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Minimum of 1 year professional accounting experience including preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close activities
• Strong proficiency in Excel, data reporting and pivot table creation; attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsabilidades

• Month-End Support: Assist in timely month-end close activities and accurately prepare all required supporting schedules
• Financial Reconciliation: Prepare precise journal entries and perform comprehensive account reconciliations to ensure ledger accuracy
• Payroll Assistance: Support critical payroll accounting functions and manage related financial transactions
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate thoroughly and resolve any account variances or reconciliation discrepancies
• Process Improvement: Contribute actively to ongoing process improvements and various accounting department initiatives
